Elizabeth A. Ayello, PhD, MS, BSN, ETN, RN, CWON, MAPWCA, FAAN is a board certified wound and ostomy nurse from New York USA, who is Internationally known as an educator, researcher, clinician, prolific author, editor, and mentor. Dr. Ayello is a Co-Editor in Chief for the journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care, Ā President of Ayello Harris and Associates Inc., PresidentĀ of theĀ World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) 2018-2022, Faculty Emerita Excelsior College School of Nursing , Faculty at the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) in Toronto and Abu Dhabi and Founder/Director of the WoundPedia Basic and Intermediate courses in Manila, the Philippines. A past president of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel and member of the MDRPI working group for the 2019 EPUAP NPIAP PPPIA Pressure Injury International Guideline, Dr. Ayello and has over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, is co-author/co-editor of two wound care books – Wound Care Essentials Practice Principles 5th edition, Pocket Guide to Pressure Ulcers 4th edition,Ā as well as the WCETĀ® International Ostomy Guideline 1st and 2nd editions, and the WCETĀ® Pocket Guides on Ostomy Complications and Stoma Siting.
