Dr. Safa Al Mustafa, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC),  RN, Bachelor in Nursing from Southern Queensland university/ Australia, Master degree in Health Care Management Marymount University/USA, Doctor Business Administration Abu Dhabi University/UAE and an active ENA member

Dr. Safa has a total of 26 years of experience in the field of Nursing, and brings more than 22 years of progressive Nursing leadership experience to her position. She is responsible for developing the framework for the provision of safe, high quality, professional Nursing and Allied Health programs and practices that encourage outstanding customer service, employee engagement, improved quality outcomes, financial accountability and growth of services. She assumed the role of CNO in September 2014 as the FIRST Emirati national who took the position as a Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer at SKMC, one of the largest tertiary healthcare facility in the UAE.

She is the Executive sponsor of SEHA Emirati Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Committee and Abu Dhabi Nursing Committee,  a member of National Nursing Now Committee, one of the founder of SEHA IHSAN Award (the first Award at SEHA and UAE for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health), IHSAN Steering Committee chair and SINMAC 2019 Scientific Committee chair,

Throughout Dr. Safa’s career, she has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Nursing Leadership Award from Cleveland Clinic-Ohio in 2016. She is also a recipient of “SKMC Caregiver” Award in 2015 & 2019 which highlights excellence in professional conduct.
